I have had an 802.11b network at home for over 2 years and loved it. Two weeks ago, my neighbor put one in, and my range and throughput are diminished by half. No longer can I blog from the living room.
My neighbor has an open network broadcasting on channel 6. I have started using an SSID and moved my AP's broadcast to channel 1. Reception is still terrible.
Is there anything that I can do, or that I can get my neighbor to do (he is a pretty nice guy), so that our 802.11b networks don't interfere with each other?
Thanks in advance for any help (cross-posted to http://wireless-starter-kit.com/)
