The Dance of Death starts

I listened to Bush's speech tonight with increasing disgust. The lost opportunities, had he been more interested in disarming Hussein, and less interested in proving that the US can dominate everybody, sickened me. Made me want to send him a pretzel. More lies, repeated over and over again. And lest anyone take seriously his declaration that military action could be avoided if the Tyrant Hussein fled the country, American officials in the Middle East are already saying "Even if Saddam Hussein leaves Iraq within 48 hours, as President Bush demanded, allied forces plan to move north into Iraqi territory," Bush is determined to get his war, and Hussein is determined to give it to him. And, as Marine Major Chris Hughes, said, "The first image of this war will define the conflict," Now we have marines in charge of the most important part of the war, what America's image is, for George Bush's re-election campaign. So the dance of the death starts. For my image, one of the works of the great Mexican artist, Jose Posada, seemed particularly appropriate today. Click to see a larger version.
