I just ran across The Weekly Read, a nice new weblog just launched by Seed Venture Capital Partners. It is like a business person's version of Mike Masnick's Techdirt, pointing to what they see as the interesting hi-tech and business stories of the week.
While I don't think that we are going to see a resurgence of the days of Content is King, I'm wondering if as businesses weblogs like these become more ubiquitous, bloggers will be able to find jobs putting them out. I hope so. There are a lot of good writers out there who could use a real income.

I hope to have this weblog transitioned over to Wordpress in the near future, so that I can have commenting up and working again. Until then, please feel free to send me your comments via my email contact form.. Please ignore everything below this comment.
Hey! I thought Techdirt was the business person's version of Techdirt... :)
Posted by: Mike on February 2, 2004 02:47 PMHey Mike,
Long time no see. I had no intention of dissing my favorite tech news site, Techdirt -- far from it.
I understand your point, but I think of Techdirt as being more like a programmer/ product marketing/ tech policy wonk's news digest and comments site. There is a lot of stuff very relevant to the person down in the trenches of tech, getting products built, shipped, sold, and supported.
The Weekly Read seems focused more on the 10,000 foot view, and not as specifically tech.
In any case, nice to see that you dropped by. I guess you keep track of what people say about you :-)
